In 2006 after the loss of one of Gerhard's employees, Linda Duffy, we were given the opportunity to contribute to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This opportunity turned into tradition, one gladly carried on by Gerhard's employees to this day. Linda battled her cancer bravely over a year and a half in CHOP.

Abington Township Fire Department is made up of five fire companies. Closest to our hearts here at Gerhard's Appliances is the Weldon Fire Company. Weldon has been in service for over 100 years, beginning in 1904 and is home to many Gerhard's Appliance employees. Including the President!
