Gerhard's actually began as a corner records store way back in 1945!! Despite the booming popularity of records, technology began to change. Charles Gerhard Sr, founder of the company, wanted to continue supplying the local community with what was needed. He began selling TVs, washers & dryers and even the new electric oven! This slowly turned into the appliance store we all know and love today, Gerhard's Appliances. 

Now with 6 locations throughout the Philadelphia area, the Gerhard family continues in their founder's footsteps.
