Here at Gerhard's we would like to remind our family, friends and customers how important it is to keep your money where your heart is: your local community! Today, we are making Christmas shopping fun again. Stroll past glimmering store fronts lit up for the holiday. Listen to the nostalgic music rippling through the air. Warm your hands of a hot cup of chocolate from the corner shop. Now is NOT the time for stress, now is the time to delight in the joy of the Christmas season.

Forget what you think you know about donation. There is no need for a huge monetary sum or wrestling with which charity speaks to you personally. The most effective donations are small yet wide spread and varied. As the old saying goes, "Small streams make large rivers."  Throughout 2017 Gerhard's was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to contribute to some wonderful charities. Below is a list of those charities, linked to their affiliated websites, for you to be able to join us in providing much needed donations at this very special time of year.
In 2006 after the loss of one of Gerhard's employees, Linda Duffy, we were given the opportunity to contribute to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This opportunity turned into tradition, one gladly carried on by Gerhard's employees to this day. Linda battled her cancer bravely over a year and a half in CHOP.  While there during the holiday season, the entire cancer wing received gifts including Linda, a gesture that brought a little holiday cheer into the lives of the courageous children there.
